Coverage at a glance

Every list price is captured at source from the seller that sets it and verified before the week is released.

§ 1.2

Where the supply sits

Each vendor is placed in the country where it is headquartered. Marker size follows the country’s share of SKUs.

Each modality is priced in the unit its sellers bill in

SKUs by modality

Token prices are reported per 1,000 tokens. Other modalities keep their own unit, so a price per image is compared only with other prices per image.

Vendors and SKUs by channel

A vendor with several price lists is tracked as one vendor with several pricing services, each counted in the channel it sells through. A vendor is listed under the channel that carries most of its SKUs.

How a vendor enters coverage

§ 5.1

Coverage criteria

Published list prices

The vendor publishes per-unit prices on a public page, so any party can check each figure against its source.

Captured at source

Prices are taken from the seller that sets them, never from a third party or an aggregator.

Official releases

Models are tracked as released by their developer. Community fine-tunes and derivatives are not indexed.

Weekly verification

A week is released only after every tracked vendor has been captured and verified.

No fee

Inclusion is never paid for. Commercial relationships, subscriptions included, have no bearing on coverage or on any assessment.

Vendors can request coverage, and buyers can suggest a vendor they use, with the form at the foot of this page. The full rules are set out in the methodology.
